Specialized Chronic Pain Treatment

Chronic pain can take the joy out of everything

Patients come to me when:

  • You have physical pain or symptoms that doctors cannot understand

  • You have had all the test and still don’t have a clear diagnosis

  • You have tried lots of treatments but none of them have resolved the problem completely

  • The pain came out of nowhere, or even if it did result from an incident it doesn’t make sense why you still have pain or symptoms

  • You worry and catastrophize about your condition and wonder if this is how the rest of your life will look like

  • People tell you its “all in your head” or dismiss your condition

  • The pain or symptoms have evolved since the beginning, getting worse or moving around to different body parts

  • Stress and worry make the symptoms worse

  • You’ve heard "You just need to focus" more times than you can count

Chronic pain and sensory problems are usually not a pure physical issue. They are a result of both biological and psychological factors and often the psychological factors can play a leading role in symptoms when the underlying medical reason seems to be a mystery. You are not going crazy and you can heal - we just need to change the way you are thinking and behaving in relation to your symptoms.

According to the CDC, approximately 24.3% of adults in the U.S. live with chronic pain, and many people resign to living their lives with this condition. The reality is that while pain is complex, chronic pain treatment can help you recover from even the most difficult of situations. I’ve helped numerous patients who have struggled with basic functioning regain control over their bodies and minds in as little as a month. This is possible for you too if you are ready to take a different approach and start treating the root of the issue: addressing rumination, attention, and avoidance.

“I went from months of continuous panic, living my life in 30 second chunks, to freedom from panic attacks and chronic debilitating anxiety.  From only being able to sit in a single chair and moving my arms to lift very light objects in an 18 inch window, to having my full physical abilities restored to do all of the things I love.

Josh has helped me unlock my brain from the cycle of chronic pain, OCD, and panic.  His kindness, coupled with expertise in each of these areas, has led me through the step by step therapy and recovery I have needed to get my life back.  If you have OCD and chronic pain together, the recipe for suffering may seem insurmountable.  Josh is uniquely trained and prepared to lead you into recovery and restoration.  I am FOREVER grateful that I can be the kind, gifted, capable person I am meant to be, no longer a burden on my family and friends, but living my life once again FREE from OCD and chronic pain.  Thank you, Josh!!!”
